RETURNS
WHAT IF I NEED TO RETURN MY ORDER?
Items may be returned within 30 days of purchase for a full refund of
the purchase price. Please call or fax us before you ship anything back
– 1.800.963.6335 or 763-631-6335 (voice) or 763-631-6334 (fax)
Custom items include items such as: custom mailbox sizes, custom doors
or incoming slots, custom posts, address plaques, and mailboxes with
personalized numbers - these items are not returnable unless defective
or damaged during shipment. Quantity orders (10+) of the locking mailbox
inserts and/or locking mailbox inserts with mailboxes may not be
returned. Customers are responsible for checking with their local
carrier or postmaster first to determine if the lockable insert is
acceptable to the area they live in. Contact your Home Security Products
representative for further explanation or clarification of this policy.
A restocking fee of 25% will apply to all returns except for items
damaged in transit, incorrect item shipped, manufacturer defects or
workmanship. If there has been damage that occurred during transit,
please RE-USE ALL PACKING MATERIALS & LEAVE THE BOX IN THE CONDITION IN
WHICH IT WAS DELIVERED TO YOU.
You are responsible for shipping fees to and from; returned goods must
be shipped freight prepaid. Be sure to return your purchased product in
its original package. Please re-pack carefully so the item isn't damaged
during shipment. UPS and the U.S. Post Office require 2" of packing
material around the inside of the entire package.
We recommend that you purchase insurance from the postage carrier before
you ship the item, since you will be held liable for products that are
damaged during return shipment.
Please note:
A.) Shipping fees cannot be refunded.
B.) Custom orders cannot be returned due to their uniqueness and
personalization to your specific request.
C.) Sale items are generally not.
SHIPPING QUESTIONS
HOW MUCH ARE SHIPPING CHARGES?
Shipping costs are based on the weight of the items being ordered, the
size of the shipping package, and the destination. Shipping charges
increase for heavier items, and items that require larger-than-normal
packaging.
Please note that some items are drop-shipped, meaning they are shipped
directly from the mfr to your door. If you live near our location in
Mpls/St. Paul area, you might expect the shipping fee to be more
reasonable. In some cases this would be a correct assumption. However,
if you find your shipping charges to be excessive given your proximity
to us, it is most likely because that order is being drop-shipped from
the mfr who may be located in some other part of the country.
We are an authorized dealer for many manufacturers. It is not possible
to keep in-stock every model in every shape, size and color from every
mfr. So, drop-shipping is a necessary part of our business. Plus,
drop-shipping certain items helps keep our costs down, and we pass along
those savings to you.
HOW WILL I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THE SHIPPING CHARGES WILL BE FOR MY
ORDER?
After placing items in your Shopping Cart, you then proceed to
Checkout. At that point, you will be shown what the shipping charges
are.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY ORDER TO ARRIVE FROM THE TIME I PLACE
THE ORDER?
Generally, for domestic shipments, most orders are packaged and
shipped within 24 hrs. Others can be 2-3 business days. Then, allow 5-7
business days, depending on where you live, for the shipment to arrive
at your door.
WHAT SHIPPING METHODS DO YOU USE?
We primarily use UPS Ground.
