Our Locking Mailbox Insert is made from heavy 16 gauge steel with a
stainless steel hinge making it virtually impenetrable and resistant to
vandalism. Home Security’s Locking Mailbox is the only insert of it’s
kind that can accept a check box. The top of our locking insert is designed so
that when the mail person puts a checkbox through the slot on the top of
the insert, it will fall into the bottom of the mailbox, well out of
reach of unauthorized hands.
The front incoming slot is large enough for standard mail, bills,
magazines, etc., and still leaves room on top of the insert for overflow
magazines and non-valuable mail. The front slot is also wide enough to accept DVD’s, magazines, and other larger items.
If you order DVD's from Blockbuster or NetFlix, the last
thing you want, is to have a DVD stolen.
If a Blockbuster or NetFlix DVD
is stolen from your mailbox you may end up paying more than $20 (if you
include taxes) for the loss of each DVD. Additionally, if it happens too
often, you may lose your privilege to rent DVD's from them. A locking
mailbox insert is a small price to pay for the prevention of stolen
Blockbuster or NetFlix DVD's.

coated for protection, and is available in standard black color.
You can purchase the locking mailbox insert alone or with a new mailbox.
You will receive
two keys with your mailbox insert.
Our
insert will fit most standard size mailboxes. If you aren't purchasing a
new mailbox with your insert, please measure your mailbox first to
insure a proper fit. Make sure that the flag mount on the inside (if
you have one) will not interfere with the insert when you put it in.
Most mailboxes have an external flag mount. Our locking mailbox insert
comes with hardware, template, and instructions for easy mounting.
Installation only takes minutes. As with all new mailbox installations
or applications, make sure that your mailbox/mailbox post is mounted at
the correct height and distance from the street as per your postal
regulations. Check with your local carrier or postmaster to determine if
the lockable insert is acceptable to him/her or the area.
The mail carrier doesn't need a key. Only you
hold the key.
